Custom Brows

Bespoke session dedicated to give you the most natural, “your brows but better” results.

$450 ($300 initial session & $150 at 6-8 week “Perfecting Session”

A 6-8 week “Perfecting Session is required for all cosmetic tattoo appointments.

  • Cosmetic tattooing is a two-step process, & a touch up is done 6-8 weeks after your initial session. At this appointment we assess your retention, perfect the shape and color, and add more dimension. Touch ups are very important and add to the overall results and longevity of your brows.

  • The initial session is essentially laying the foundation for your cosmetic tattoo, & your second session is to ensure pigment is retained & even throughout the entire brow. My motto as an artist is “we can always go bolder”, but I can’t take away. I want your brows to only enhance your beauty, not distract from it.

  • At your consultation, we will discuss your current shape and brow density, brow color, and your future goals. There are a few techniques we have to choose from that will give various end results. Not all techniques will suit every person, but together we will choose the perfect technique and plan to give you your dream brows.

Shading Technique

This style uses a single-needle cosmetic tattoo machine to create shading within the brow. The end result mimics the look of powder and will heal to look like a tint on the skin, leaving you with a more defined, but still soft looking brow..

Perfect for: those who prefer a more filled-in, “makeup” look, someone who naturally has less brow hair or is missing larger gaps in their brows, the person who loves a brow tint, or the person who just wants more definition & shape. The front of the brow is typically a softer, faded “ombre” to avoid a harsh boxy look.

Machine Hairstroke & Shading Combination Brow Technique

A combination of both natural looking hair-like strokes that mimic your natural hair and also shading for a natural but also defined, filled-in look. Both techniques are done using a single-needle cosmetic tattoo machine as opposed to a microblade. Soft feathery hair strokes in the front of the brow blend into shading throughout the arch & tail for extra definition.

Perfect for: someone wishing to minimize or eliminate their daily brow makeup routine, but still wants some wispy hair strokes in the front of the brow versus an ombré front.

FAQs

  • If you are pregnant or breast feeding (it is suggested to wait 3-4 months after breastfeeding)

If you are currently using Accutane or have used Accutane within the last year

Are undergoing cancer treatment or have had chemo or radiation in the last 6 months

You have a history of keloid scarring

The following medical conditions require a note from a doctor giving consent:

    - diabetes type 1 and 2

    - high blood pressure

    - auto-immune disease

    - graves disease

    - any other medical condition that causes slow healing, heavy bleeding or high risk of infection

  • Machine hair stroke brows (also called nano brows) mimic the appearance of individual brow hairs similar to the microblading technique.

The difference is instead of a manual blade of needles (microblading), nano is performed using a cosmetic tattoo machine and implants the pigment in a less invasive way, providing longer-lasting results and a shorter healing process. This procedure is suitable for most skin types including oily, sensitive, and mature skin.

Machine hair stroke brows lasts 2-4 years depending on each person’s skin type and lifestyle.

  • Microblading uses a manual tool that uses a blade to make a scratch in the skin to deposit the pigment in order to create realistic looking hair strokes in the skin.

Machine hair strokes use a machine with one single needle to create hair strokes. Machine hair strokes can be performed on all skin types.

In almost all cases, microblading can only be performed on normal/dry skin and generally younger skin types for the best results possible. Performing it on those with oily skin or more mature skin can lead to the results not looking as desired.

The biggest factor that impacted my decision to be a machine-only artist after my trainings is the that ALL skin types are a candidate, & I simply loved working with the machine over the microblade and the versatility it offers.

  • Powder Brows consist of diffused, borderless shading with no hair strokes. This is using only the shading technique. This style provides the most density- perfect for those looking for more of a filled-in, “makeup” look, or who have less brow hair. This technique is ideal for all skin types, including oily skin.

Powder Brows lasts 2-4 years depending on each person’s skin type and lifestyle.

  • Combo brows are a combination of nano (hair strokes) and machine shading. Soft hair strokes in the front of the brow melting into diffused, borderless shading provide more density than hair strokes alone.

  • Once you have fully read through all the FAQ on this page, you will click the “request an appointment” button at the bottom of the page. This will bring you to a new page where you will fill out a short questionnaire about your medical history & your brow goals to ensure if the procedure is right for you. You will receive an email within 48 hours, & if your application is approved, you will receive a booking link to schedule your appointment online.

  • When you schedule your appointment, you will book an “initial session”. This will allow us to decide together at your appointment which procedure is right for you. We have a thorough consultation about your individual brow goals, lifestyle, and current look and shape of your brows, and those all play a factor in the technique that we choose.

  • At your appointment we will have an in depth consultation about your brow goals, so a in-person consultation prior is not required, however if you are unsure if you are ready to commit to the procedure, as it is a cosmetic tattoo, you are more than welcome to schedule a consultation!

The cost of this is $15.

I recommend filling out the booking request at the bottom of this page first which serves as a virtual consultation. Once I approve, you will send photos of your brows back to me prior to scheduling. If have questions or concerns we can address it via email. If you still would like an in person consultation you may schedule one, or proceed with booking.

Keep in mind, once your appointment is booked, all cancellation policies will apply. A consultation is strongly suggested if you are “on the fence” about booking this service.

  • Cosmetic tattooing is a two-step process, and a touch up is strongly recommended to get the best results. Also known as the “perfecting session”, a touch up is done 6-8 weeks after your initial session, and is where we assess your retention, perfect the shape and color, and add more dimension. Touch ups are very important and add to the overall results and longevity of your brows.

We only touch up the areas that need touching up, and in some cases your brows may heal perfectly even & the exact color intensity that we want. In that case, you won’t need to proceed with a touch-up, however in most cases a small perfecting session is needed.

  • The healing process takes 10-14 days, however the true color and shape of your brows will not be complete until about 4-6 weeks.

Minor swelling and redness is normal the first 24-48 hours, & your brows will appear darker and warmer for the first 2-5 days. The color will then begin to flake off and look patchy for a few days, and then may seem as if they have disappeared entirely, but the pigment will reappear after about 14 days.

  • 30 days before:

    - No filler, botox, or any other injections in or around the forehead/brow area

    2 weeks before:

    - Discontinue use of any skincare that encourages exfoliation around the brow area such as retinol, AHA, BHA, salicylic acid

    1 week before:

    - Do not tan or sunbathe. Irritated or sunburned skin cannot be worked on. Also, refrain from any facial, laser, or waxing treatments on your face up to 1 week prior.

    48 hours before:

    - Avoid taking blood thinners such as aspirin, ibuprofen, niacin, vitamin e, Advil, fish oil, & alcohol. (Tylenol is ok)

  • I provide each of my clients an in-depth brow mapping and analysis. I take into consideration your lifestyle, makeup & personal style, however with cosmetic tattooing/permenant makeup it is important to never stray too far from the natural shape & color.

We will both work together to outline the perfect shape of brow that compliments both your facial structure and your preferences.

  • At this time, I am only taking clients that have never received microblading or any other kind of cosmetic tattoo on the brows. This may change in the future!

  • Permanent makeup is designed to fade over time but is still considered a cosmetic tattoo. Factors such as skin type, lifestyle, age, metabolism, medications, and pigment color affect the longevity of the tattoo.

The sun and some kinds of lighting (tanning beds) can affect the rate at which these pigments are broken down.

Following the given aftercare instructions is critical to getting your best-healed results and helping your brows last as long as possible. Touch-ups are normal and expected for cosmetic tattooing.

*Please note that final results vary and CANNOT be guaranteed due to the nature of skin as it heals. A follow-up appointment is recommended 6-8 weeks after your initial session where we can assess your pigment retention and perfect your cosmetic tattoo!

  • While cosmetic tattooing is amazing for defining the brows and enhancing a client’s features, it’s important to have realistic expectations about what it can and cannot do.

Permanent makeup is a cosmetic tattoo, meaning it is going in your skin. Makeup sits on top of your skin. Therefore, some of things you can achieve with makeup will not look the same of give the same effect as a PMU tattoo. Because the tattoo we are creating is relatively permanent and is going in your skin, it’s very important where we place and shape the brow! Going too far away from where the hair naturally grows will look unnatural and won’t blend with the natural hair that you have.

For example, you have brown eyebrows and some white hairs that you like to cover up with brow gel or powder, no form of cosmetic tattooing will be able to replace that. We cannot change the actual color of the hair itself.

  • Initial sessions take between 2.5-3 hours start to finish. This includes consultation, numbing, detailed mapping, and the procedure itself.

Perfecting Sessions take 1.5 -2 hours.
